Loving God and living for Him :)

Hi, it's me again. Well, it's been a while since my last blog post but this time I'd like to post about something more personal.

Ever since I came Toronto, loads of things have been going through my mind. Who are my good friends? Why can't I do as well as I had first expected in school? What IS my purpose in life? Why do I feel so empty sometimes ?

I've been a christian all my life, my parents were christians so.. yeah.
Thing is, after talking to some sisters last night at devotion, I realized that that is actually a disadvantage cause for me, I'm (kind of) studying the bible now and I know most of the stories, some of the main lessons and principles. I guess KNOWING is not the same as APPLYING it into your life. I know these stuff, but I've never applied them in my life. Back home, I'm one of those people who go to church, listen to the message, go home. I have to admit, it feels good not being convicted to do anything about the message cause God never forces His children. I feel guilty for taking the status of being a Christian for granted.
Up till recently, I've always put my studies first, getting good grades, earning praises and etc etc. I know now that I should learn to put God first in everything cause He is the reason that I live (believe it or not) :D

Putting God first, it's easier said than done, my friend. The world has thousands of ways of stopping/hindering you from doing that. That is why I am thankful for the people who are helping me,constantly encouraging me and reminding me that God is number 1 in our lives.

Love God and live only (or ultimately) for Him

quebec and new year :)

yep it's 2011 ! a new year and HOPEFULLY something exciting happens in my oh-so-boring life. HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

So for new years, i went to quebec city with a couple of friends :)
It was my 1st time there (obviously) and I was in AWE. Old quebec was gorgeous! Being there gave me the feeling of being somewhere in Europe <3 so so so so so pretty.
Here are some pics..

It was a 9-hour drive to quebec, but that was worth it. If only one of us had an SLR camera, it'd be perfect! ( Can't wait to get my camera !! It's been too long ). OH, the only thing that kinda bums us out is that not that many people there speak english. We had trouble ordering food since some of the menus DON'T have english translations. Well, at least i learnt some simple French words like Poullet, Porc, sortie and etc etc. A tip from me, don't try searching for authentic asian food in quebec city, it's really hard to find. We stayed in quebec city for 2 nights, it was loads of fun. We went to the City Centre for the NY countdown, i think EVERYONE in the city came, it was PACKED.

On our way back to toronto, we stopped by Montreal and had PHO. It tasted SO good (maybe because we were hungry and had been craving for pho since the day before?). Reached home at about 2-2.30 in the morning and went straight to bed since we didn't sleep in the car on the way home. We had some quality talk about guys instead LOL.

I think that's quite enough about quebec, tomorrow is that start of my 2nd semester. I am kind of excited, but scared at the same time. Weird i know. I just don't want to disappoint people when I don't do well. But, I SHOULD stay positive right? :) Kay then, will post something with pictures up as soon as i get my camera <3
